NMMA Certification

Jetcraft is the only heavy gauge aluminum boat manufacturer in the world with NMMA certification.

National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) certification sets the standard for safety.

Boats manufactured in North America are required to meet a set of minimum manufacturing regulations established by the US Coast Guard.

The National Marine Manufacturers Association goes deeper, looking at critical components such as fuel systems, electrical systems, flotation and performance. Only NMMA Certified boats go through the stringent testing to certify each model, ensuring the boat is designed and engineered with safety first, an NMMA standard.

  What does Certification cover?

The NMMA Certification program covers over 30 categories of standards, which vary by boat type and may include:

Fuel system & ventilation
Passenger and weight capacity (on boats under 26')
Horsepower Capacity (on boats under 20')
  Flotation (on boats under 20')
  Electrical systems & Navigation lights
  Warning label placement and guidelines

  Pre-Flex® Hull Technology

Jetcraft’s exclusive Pre-Flex® technology makes traditional hull design concepts obsolete.

The Jetcraft hull is built on a jig system, forming the hull with “Pre-Flexed” components. Pre-loading the hull components prior to welding forms a hull with unparalleled strength, impact resistance and the comfort of sound damping. Once completed, the hull is removed from the jig, remaining in the shape the Engineers intended; creating a safe and reliable boat that will last a life time.

  Pre-Flex® Technology-Simplified
The concept of Pre-Flex® has been around since the dawn of architecture. Arching a structure towards or against the load strengthens the structures capability to handle the load. See the figure below showing Pre-Flex® technology in a bridge deck.
